Living in High Wycombe
High Wycombe is set among the Chiltern Hills, situated 29 miles west-north-west from London. The town is currently undergoing a large redevelopment of the centre, including the development of the town's existing shopping centre , the completion of the new Eden Shopping centre , redevelopment of the Buckinghamshire New University and a new Sainsbury's store on the Oxford road next to the Eden shopping centre and bus station.
The Eden shopping centre boasts a 12-screen Cineworld, 22-lane AMF Bowling and a wide range of quality restaurants from Wagamama and Zizzi to Yo! Sushi and Nando's. Wycombe Swan theatre is one of the leading theatres in the UK offering a diverse selection of theatrical and musical performances.
High Wycombe is home to the Wycombe Wanderers Football Club who are currently at the top of their league. The great rugby team, the London Wasps also call High Wycombe their home. The Wycombe Sports Centre, called Nexus, is situated close to the M40 and offers a diverse range of facilities to help you keep fit and stay healthy.
Eden is a great new Shopping and Leisure experience in High Wycombe offering a selection of premium fashion and lifestyle brands including House of Fraser, Zara, LK Bennett and Marks and Spencer.
High Wycombe is situated close to junctions 3 and 4 of the M40 with excellent links to the M4 and M25. Heathrow Airport is a 30min drive away and London is approximately a 35minute train journey away. The railway station is located in the town centre. For most of the week, there are at least 3 trains an hour between High Wycombe and London, and there is also a direct hourly service from London to Birmingham via High Wycombe and Princes Risborough. High Wycombe's new bus station is located on Bridge Street in the town centre. The park and ride car park is located in Cressex and it is free to park. The easy-access buses stop in the town centre and at the railway station. The buses run every 15 minutes between 7am and 7pm Mondays to Fridays and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays.
